MLA Event Calendar
Tuesday, June 20th
3:00 PM
Presented by: Leah Newton, Christina James, and Taylor Santini
Hosted by: Missouri Library Association Continuing Education Committee
Want to learn how to be a "reel" librarian who "toks" about books on social media? Join Christina, Leah, and Taylor for an introduction to TikTok and Instagram Reels. This session will share the benefits of maintaining and evolving your library's social media presence and help you recognize and adapt trends to highlight your library's services, programs, and collections. You will also learn the basic technical skills needed on both platforms to create polished, engaging videos. This session is intended for beginners who want to learn the very basics of making short-form videos, and how to sell various stakeholders on the value of staying on the cutting edge of social media.
This event is free to attend. It will be recorded. All registrants will be sent a copy of the recording after the conclusion of the event.
Registration Deadline: June 13th
