MISSOURI ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGE AND RESEARCH LIBRARIES (MACRL)

General Information

The Missouri Association of College and Research Libraries (MACRL) is a Division of the Missouri Library Association (MLA) and a chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) of the American Library Association (ALA).

Membership in this division is open to any member of the MLA in good standing or any ACRL member residing in Missouri who is interested in furthering the objectives of MACRL.

The objectives of MACRL are to promote the development and represent the interests of libraries and librarians of higher education institutions and independent research libraries in the state of Missouri.

Telling Your Story: Effective Faculty Outreach

Building Bridges: Effective Internal Advocacy and Marketing in Libraries

Resources and support are essential to accomplishing not only overall library goals but also the goals of individual departments, librarians, and staff. In this webinar, Taira Meadowcroft and Megan Ballengee will share strategies for successfully advocating for your position and/or unit. Learn how to communicate your needs to administrators and to undertake an internal marketing campaign to promote your value and build networks within the library. Whether a manager or not, everyone in a library can be an advocate for their own work and for the mission of the library.
