MLA Youth Services Spring Training

Presented by the Youth Services Community of Interest, our Spring Training is a flexible, personable way to engage in topics that matter to you and your library. The morning will include two, large group sessions and the afternoon will consist of three breakout, small group sessions that will be led by you, the attendees. Share your unique knowledge and learn from your amazing peers across the state!

Trends in library programming come and go but there are two factors that can be relied upon to consistently generate enthusiastic participation. Knowing your patrons and being passionate about your topic. In this presentation, Will helps library staff generate ideas on how they can find out the programs their patrons want as well as identifying what types of programs they can create based on their passions.


Circulating Kits for Kids: You Can Check that Out?

Presented by Ariel Doggendorf and Katie Long

Everyone expects to be able to check out books from the library, but what about robots? Toys? Games? Learn the ins and outs of circulating a variety of kits from ordering the supplies to maintaining the collection.
