Mission Statement

The Professionalism, Education, Employment and Recruitment Special Interest Group of the Missouri Library Association consists of members of the Missouri Library Association. The PEER SIG works toward meeting the needs of the members of MLA through its efforts in the areas of professionalism, education, employment and recruitment. Anyone interested in joining the PEER SIG is welcome.

It is the responsibility of PEER to coordinate and execute the Ronald G. Bohley Silent Auction at each Missouri Library Association Conference. The proceeds from the Silent Auction help fund the Ronald G. Bohley Scholarship fund. It is the responsibility of PEER to evaluate and interview the applicants who apply to receive award money from this fund.

Goals for 2008

Award the Ronald G. Bohley Scholarship.

Execute the Ronald G. Bohley Silent Auction.

Execute the Bohley Golf Tournament.

Interesting conference program(s) at annual conference.

Examine and/or revise PEER SIG Bylaws.
