Recent events:
Lunchin' Librarians just met on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Players Restaurant/Lounge.
A fine time was had on January 29, 2010 by public, school, and academic librarians from the Warrensburg area, as we held our very first "Librarians that Lunch" event. There were 11 of us in all - a librarian from the Warrensburg Middle School, a librarian from the Warrensburg High School, two librarians from Trails Regional Public Library, and five librarians from the University of Central Missouri.
Discussions ranged freely and widely, from restrictions on the use of Facebook and cell phones in schools, to anticipated library funding challenges, MoreNet funding issues, the upcoming MASL conference, and collective strategies for next week's Library Advocacy Day in Jeff City. We even identified possible collaboration opportunities for the Warrensburg school and academic librarians. And that was just the discussions that took place on one side of the table!
