Title Nomination Criteria and Process

Nominate your favorite picture books for next year's Missouri Building Block Picture Book Award.

Eligible titles must meet the following criteria:

1. 1. Copyright date must be within last two years (e.g. if current year is 2008, books considered for list must be 2008 and 2007).

2. Either the author or the illustrator must live in the United States or its territories.

3. Appropriate for storytime or one-on-one sharing and age appropriate (birth through kindergarten).

4. Pictures and story work well together.

When submitting titles for consideration, please include the following information:

1. Title

2. Author

3. Illustrator

4. Publisher

5. Publication date.

6. Residency of author and illustrator, whenever possible.
