The Children's Services Roundtable, a special interest group of the Missouri Library Association, provides support and continuing education for all library staff working with youth (birth to 12 years) in Missouri libraries.

CSRT sponsors two MLA awards:

The Missouri Building Block Picture Book Award is presented annually to the author and illustrator of the picture book voted most popular by preschool children in Missouri's public libraries.

The 2010 Building Block Picture Book Award winner is
"The Pout-Pout Fish" by Deborah Diesen.

The Patt Behler Call to Conference Award is offered to introduce working librarians to the activities and programs of MLA and CSRT and to encourage involvement and ongoing participation in their professional activites. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.
